At the end of cloverfield, theres a brief flashback...and u see a satellite fall into the ocean in the background....Thas a satellite owned by the Japanese oil hu own SLUSHO...u'l know wat im onna bout if u watched the movie carefully...

the company were deep sea mining for a new flavour for slusho and then they discoverd they woke the monster...

Slusho's main ingredient is found at the bottom of the ocean, and can make a small fish grow into a whale n THATS what made the monster...

and the retrieval of the ingredient and the satellite that fell into the ocean...was what woke the monster up!

That shud explain it all...call me wateva...but I watch the movies carefully niggggggggassssssss. and NO...i dint go onto no spoilers cuz theyre all full of shit...

and the bottom one has a longer jaw than the top one

looking at them 2 (clear pics) i'd definately say they're the same monster only difference is ones mouth is opened than the others is shut, im with porky on this one, monster did seem to change sizes a bit

HUD made the movie basically. His lines were funny as hell and his reactions were perfect. The flaming homeless guy thing in the subway was hilarious.

I dunno, look at its two front teeth. The one in the daytime has the two front teeth coming up from the bottom jaw and the one attacking the city had NO teeth there, the two front teeth are on top :ahhh:

basically what im sayin is that they like to put mysteries and hidden things in this movie...so I wouldnt be surprised if it really was 2 monsters in the movie

satellite falling is one if the last things they show. Rob is at Coney Island filming the beach and right before he turns the camera on himself you see something fall from the top right

as the credits come to an end you hear someone say something like "help me" and Ive heard if you play it backwards its saying "its still alive"

mercury pretty much said it...but U gotta watch it with good quality and pay close attention to the right of the screen (right by the boat in the water) and U should see it

i think its just because the camera was zoomed in a bit. remember Hud was zooming into the smoke before the helicopter got hit.

wow you must be blind. The one by grand central station has its two front teeth coming out of the top of his mouth. The one by Hud has his mouth closed but you can see the two front teeth protrude up from the lower jaw :sips:

it's the same monster. Hasbro is releasing the toy of the monster and there's only 1 monster. It just looks so different because of the angle and the mouth open/close. Also we didn't get to see the monster that much that's why it looks different

I dunno JR847, I think we are the only ones that see the teeth are different...unless the monster hit up a dentist before daylight they are different. Also if they release a toy why would the makers of the film release a secret such as this via a children's toy??? I am basing my theory of the two monsters from when I saw it in theaters and these screen shots on the front page...you can see the lower jaw is different and two front teeth.

Does it really matter? I mean, that movie was plagued by dissapointment nearly the entire time I watched it. I seriously hope they aren't considering a sequel, but I won't be surprised if there is.
I am firmly convinced that the trailers leading up to the movie only showed the beginning party because there was absolutely no good footage to pull a trailer together with. They call it a 'teaser trailer', I call it all they had to go with.
