i was wonderin if anyone in here do dentistry in the US n know what kind of Salary you can get working as a Dentist?.....n wat about as a Pharmacist??

Dentists starting off making between 95 000 - 100 000

after 2-3 years it can increase to 130-150 000

that's if you're working for some other dentist.

once you open up your own practice, you make a lot more, some dentists make more than a million.

and in order to become a dentist in the US, you need to take you're required pre reqs in college. (English, 1-2 social sciences, Calculus 1, Biology,Chemistry,Organic Chemistry, Physics and classes like anatomy and microbiology also look good on the application.

you also need to take DAT in your junior year, which is the dental admissions test. theres a perceptual ability part, a reading part, math part, biology,chem,organic chem and your general sciences sections.

if you have around a 3.4-3.6 science gpa and like a 3.5 regular gpa, and atleast between a 20-24 on your DAT. then youre chances of getting into dental school are pretty decent.

but it is none the less competitive. in a sense it is better than pre-med when it comes to competition. you still have to work your ass off for it.

pharmacy is the same thing, instead of a DAT, you take PCAT, which i'm not too familiar with. but the pre-req courses for pharmacy and dentistry are almost identical.

i got into some universities and i'm transferring out to a state university perhaps.

haven't decided between Binghamton or Univ at buffalo.
