Re: Official Soccer/Football Thread: Season 09/10
Y'all geting your hopes up too soon for Obertan. I watched him in the Carling Cup game and in the CL game this week and didn't see anything special. I had to laugh when he ran the ball of the pitch and then later missed the chance of his life to score a goal. Maybe that was nerves, but at his age (20) he should be more assertive on the pitch.
If you think this guy could potentially fill Ronaldos boots in the near future then you should be afraid of what our Arsenal kids are capable of. In my opinion, a few of our younger players are easily alot better than him.
Obertan might become a major assest for Man Utd in a few years but as of yet I havn't seen anything special to suggest he will.
I'm not hating, just stating my opinion.

Re: Official Soccer/Football Thread: Season 09/10
I hear that but it was put out in order to draw a response lol
if u were to post that under the article instead of here it would be great lol
To answer you all of them have had experience at senior level over a succession of season, Obertan has played 3 games at senior level in England and dont get gassed by your youth players
we have Josh King, Ravel Morrison, Magnus Eikrem, Davide Petrucci and Paul Pogba amongst others waiting to get the kind of experience the players you have named have.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City chase CSKA Moscow winger Milos Krasic
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are weighing up a move for CSKA Moscow winger Milos Krasic.
The Premier League trio were represented in the stands at Old Trafford on Tuesday night as the Serbia international impressed with the Russians' second goal in the 3-3 draw.
Krasic, who is 25 and 6ft 1ins, has forged a reputation as an intelligent player with good pace and an eye for goal.
Red hot: Milos Krasic has attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs
He would not come cheap, valued at around Ł9million, but scouts are convinced he can adapt to the Premier League whether playing wide or in an attacking midfield role.
Real Madrid and AC Milan made inquiries about him last year but CSKA then scared them off by demanding Ł18m. Manchester United have also had him watched.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are also continuing to monitor Hamburg's highly-rated left winger Eljero Elia. The Dutch international only joined in the summer after moving from Twente Enschede for Ł7million.
|
Hes a good player but I don't think AW will sign him because even with injurys we have too much good attacking players in our squad so it would be pointless in bringing him to Arsenal.
Apparantley Man Utd are leading the chase for his signature even though the player has expressed his desire to play for AC Milan.

We don't need him. The players that we have now are obviously not prolific because they haven't won anything, but they WORK AS A TEAM.
